The STEROXON system is composed of a hydraulic system, where the water and peracetic acid (PAA) mixture is produced according to the desired temperature and concentration, and an electrical system to manage the various process parameters. Peracetic acid (PAA) is a very effective biocide and It is active within a broad range of cases and quickly destroys bacteria, spores, viruses, algae, molds, micro-bacteria and yeast.
Peracetic acid is supplied pre-diluted in a dedicated tank and mixed with water until the desired concentration is achieved (1000÷2000 p.p.m), which is set on the control microchip display. This is achieved by means of a special concentration control probe. To adjust its temperature, the plant is equipped with a system including two heat-exchangers; the first is aimed at heating water by means of steam, whereas the second heats the sterilising solution by means of the water produced by the first heat exchanger. Moreover, thanks to the STEROXON system both the C.I.P. and S.I.P. cycles may be implemented on the rinsing-sterilising machine which is included.
